Conor Peterson is an artist, hacker and educator whose work ruminates on our modern relationship with technology -- especially the collision zones between our aspirations and reality.
Born in the Seattle area during the dot-com area, he trained as a programmer before studying analog photography at the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Several years years later he returned to digital technology and moved to New Mexico to study electronic art, completing his MFA at the University of New Mexico in 2013. He taught as a visiting artist at UNM and as a Visiting Professor of Media Art at New Mexico Highlands University. For the 2015 and 2016 academic years he was the Five College Visiting Assistant Professor of Art and Technology at Hampshire and Smith colleges in Western Massachusetts. Presently he lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he is a designer/developer at Meow Wolf.
